I think on every project a good director will learn something new. One thing I pride myself on is knowing what I want and more importantly what I have to communicate to my actors in order to get it. The ensemble cast on Redux taught me to adjust my approach to the actors based on their different methods of preparation. Some of them had high energy, others liked experimenting, and some preferred to warm up gradually. In either case, I had to know when to work quickly and when to pace my direction. And doing this not only achieved good performances it also kept the set moving very smoothly.
